My 1st Blog Giveaway!

Hello there! I've decided to host my very first blog giveaway! It will run for a month and the winner will be selected August 1st.

The winner will be the lucky recipient (at least I think so) of one of my Sweet Emily Dolls that's pictured below:

To enter, all you have to do to is follow my blog AND comment on this post! Okay, I will admit that this is a shameless bid at promoting my Etsy shop but can you blame me for trying?? :o)

If you just can't wait until the contest ends to have one of these lovely beauties, then head on over to my Etsy shop and pick one up. Do-It-Yourself Kits are also available if you'd rather make one for someone special.

Good luck to everyone!

For the past couple of years I have been a mom to a boy. Boy (excuse the pun) I was in shock! I am an only child and my mom raised me so I had no clue what to do with little boys. Truth be told I was a little sad when I found out especially since everyone thought I was having a girl that I even convinced myself. Now I wouldn't trade him for the world but I am glad that I just had a little girl. I can't wait to get her dolls and I love the ballerina doll! I have heard about etsy but never have gone on and found this through another site which is great and I am so excited that I did! Hope I win!

Your doll reminds me of a doll my mother made me when I was little. It was awake on one side and sleeping on the other and had a oatmeal box cradle. Thank you for the memory. If I was choosen to recieve this doll. I would give it to my new niece to be born in September. Every little girl should have a hand made doll. Peg

Hi there, I am a new blogger and a new follower! Just wondering if it is possible to have kits shipped to Italy. I noticed on the Etsy page that there is no OS shipping destination. Also, if it can be shipped, is it very difficult to do? (I have been a few years out of sewing practice)
Anyhow, thanks for the inspiringly creative blog!
Candace

Fina said...

Hi Candace,

I have not shipped internationally in the past and will check on pricing for you. If you decide to purchase a kit, I will offer you discounted shipping so that you do not bear the full cost. The doll kits are not difficult to make at all. Each kit contains all of the pieces necessary (already cut out) and directions to complete the doll. You only need to supply the stuffing. You will need a sewing maching to complete the project and it should only take you about an hour.

Thanks,
Fina

Fina said...

Candace -

Sorry for the delay but I finally got around to checking on shipping rates for Italy. The Sweet Emily Doll Kits are approximately 2.5 ounces each. If you order one kit, shipping is $3.12 and 2 kits would be $4.80. Since I'm offering free U.S./Canada shipping, I will offer you shipping at 50% of actual cost. Let me know what you're thinking of purchasing and I can create a custom listing with the correct pricing.

I'm making the baby doll diaper right now--I found it was easier to use a paper napkin to fit around the doll first, then trace it onto real paper and make adjustments from there. Great idea! A friend sent me this link for this purpose. You have a lot of fun ideas/products here!
